About Ali and Points Darts

Ali Driver, PDPA-licensed darts coach and founder of Points Darts

Helping players throw with freedom

I’m Ali Driver, a PDPA-licensed darts coach and the person behind Points Darts. I coach adults and young players from my private studio near Reading, as well as at clubs and team venues, and through the Points Darts Academy in Burghfield.

My approach combines the physical and mental sides of darts. I help each player find a comfortable, repeatable throw that suits their own body, then build the confidence and focus needed to use it under pressure.

Whether you are just starting, trying to correct a long-standing problem or aiming for competitive darts, coaching is always adapted to your experience, goals and natural throwing style.

My coaching approach

I don’t believe every player should be made to throw in exactly the same way. Effective coaching starts by understanding the individual—their physique, natural movement, experience, ambitions and the challenges they are facing.

A throw that suits you

We work towards a comfortable, relaxed and repeatable action that suits your body, rather than trying to copy another player’s technique.

The physical and mental game

Sound technique provides the foundation, but confidence, focus and a reliable pre-throw routine are equally important when you are playing under pressure.

Clear, practical feedback

Professional video analysis helps us see what is really happening in your throw. You will also receive clear priorities and a written coaching summary, so you know what to practice after the session.
